It isn’t “high quality” video but I’d like to present the Detroit Party Marching Band at Honkfest 2010!

I was out at Zumix in East Boston today with Environmental Encroachment from Chicago as part of the first day of Honk! 2010. Here are some highlights:

The 2009 HONK! festival kicked off yesterday around the Greater Boston area. 30 activist street bands decended on Somerville and parts of Boston. I spent the afternoon on Friday at the Boys and Girls Club in Dudley Square and then joined the party in Davis Square today. The bands come from around the world and raise awareness about the importance of music as well as carrying anti-war, pro-health care messages.
